Q.1-Do you know consumer day of the world ???
The National Consumer Day is observed in India on 24 December every year as on this day the consumer protection Act,1986 hand received the assent of the president.
The enactment of this act was considered a historic milestone in the consumer movement in the country. This Act aims to provide consumers with effective safeguards against different types of exploitation such as defective goods,unsatisfactory services and unfair trade practices.
This day provides any opportunity for individuals to highlight the importance of the consumer movement and the need to make every consumer more aware of their rights and responsibilities.
The World consumer more aware of this Rights Day is observed on 15 March every year.
The consumer protection Act. recognise six of the eight rights of the consumer as provided as provided in the UN charter.These are below manner:
1-Right to protection.
2-Right to information.
3-Right to choice.
4-Right to Hearing.
5-Right to Redressal.
6-Right to Education.
